J. Ekholm`s book "Hooray For Ludvig XIV!" illustration
J.O. Ekholm's funny and touching book has been a part of childhood for many people from different generations. My mum read it as a child and I drew an illustration of it as an adult, which is a very warm connection between people of different ages who are still children at heart. The story about the friendship between a baby fox and a little chicken, the inhabitants of a farm and forest dwellers, where every character is memorable and makes you smile, will never cease to be a beautiful fairy tale that helps us remember that kindness makes the world a better place. I drew these illustrations following the images and colours that were in my soul when I read this tale. They are heartwarming and fun, and that's exactly what this story is!
